SB'23 will benefit the New York Caledonian Club. The Club is a non-profit organization established in 1856 providing Scots, Scottish-Americans, and anyone with an interest in Scotland, the opportunity to be immersed in authentic Scottish culture. The New York Caledonian Club also organizes many Scottish cultural activities and events throughout the year including Gaelic and Bagpipe playing lessons.

The Crooked House in Lavenham England is a 600-year-old historic house described as a British icon. The prize includes an exclusive private tour of the home, followed by a private guided tour of Lavenham, Britain's best-preserved medieval village. This full-day experience with conclude with Afternoon Tea at The Crooked House, hosted by The Crooked Men.

The very charming Alasdair is the Chairman and DIrector of Fine Art at Freeman's, America's oldest auction house. Born in Edinburgh, Mr. Nichol studied fine art in Aberdeen. Since 1988, he has appeared on the top-rated PBS television show, The Antiques Roashow, helping people to find treasures in their attics. Mr. Nichol will take the winner of this prize for lunch and delight them with animated conversation on all things artistic.

The prize is a copy of his latest US release, "The Scottish Kitchen." Gary Maclean is a Scottish chef and author and is the first National Chef of Scotland.

Prof. Birns is a faculty member at NYU and a distinguished literary scholar. He has written books on a number of topics, including the writings of Anthony Powell. Keenly interested in fantasy writing, Birns is also a Tolkien scholar.

You and a guest will enjoy a performance of the American Classical Orchestra on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at 7:30pm at Alice Tully Hall. The tickets are 2 center orchestra seats for the B Minor Mass by J.S. Bach. The ACO is devoting to preserving and promoting the repertoire of 17th, 18th, and 19th century composers. Music is played on original instruments using historic performance techniques.
